I love thrifting for clothes, but I’ve never been able to get past an ick factor with shoes. I wonder if you do anything to your thrifted shoes before you first wear them, or do you find that generally they’re the same as new shoes.

nope, i don’t do anything to shoes i thrift…i just wear them! they are the same as new shoes. anything that could be living on them is probably gone by the time they get to you anyway. also, if you’re really skeeved, you could use a damp cloth with some soap and wash them off inside, very gently.
if you don’t buy them, more for me and other people! there are too many cute shoes out there, to not reuse or enjoy them is a tragedy, imo.
